PRESIDENT’S LETTER - JULY 2010

How are you all liking this heat? I find it ironic that I spent so much of the winter moaning about the cold, and now I‘m yearning for some!

I still have some card packets left - if you haven’t picked yours up, please contact me. We would like to have these returned to us at the September meeting, so we can forward them to the organization who will get them to the soldiers. If anyone has finished theirs and would like extras, just give a yell. (843-237-5182)

Pictures of the actual ornaments that Pat Smelkoff designed for our annual ornament class on September 11th are now on the website, front and back views. (www.sueprine.com/ccdp). Laurel Barbour has the cutouts. She will be sending out the pattern and information prior to class to all registrants. If need be, you can just pick up your cutouts that morning when you come to class. Please notify Laurel if you are planning to join us (843-294-1454) so we will have a count for setting up.

Laurel also has the Santa cutouts for the October 2nd class. This piece has a little base coating prep required before coming to class - instructions will be given out with your Santa. You may signup at the September class, or contact Laurel directly. Her number is above.

Information on the November seminar with Cheri Rol is also on the website - signups are being taken now.

A reminder - we are going to start asking people to bring their own tablecloths to our painting sessions, starting in September. Those big storage boxes that we keep the tablecloths in (one each for programs and seminars) can be quite heavy to lug around and take up quite a bit of room in the chairperson’s house. The board will have some extra tablecloths with them until people get used to adding this item to their ‘regular painting supplies’.
